
Introduction
Women empowerment is the most vital equipment to expand womens ability to have resources and to make intense life choice in every possible manner.
Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru said to awaken the people ,it is the women who must be awake. Empowering women has become most mandatory concern of this century.
Women empowerment is basically a process of providing armour to the women who is in need of it which somehow gives a legitimate power to perform the work.
Women population is about half of the total population of world. The concept is not new concept it is in run since ages from the Vedas Puranas .
Women are being given a equal status like that of goddess Laxmi They are always a symbol of worship in the manner of mother.
Basic highlights to the Women Empowerment
As soon the rights of the women are left succumb by the male groups ,the women are held morally independent. If they are free and independent they will somehow enjoy all the rights like political, social, economical ,legal rights etc .
Providing legal rights to the women is proving most imperative instrument to maintain their status -quo in the society in every possible manner.
Women have been given right to sue in the court of law and they are given equal opportunity of being heard . Women have achieved successful unbeatable status in the society.
Not only urban but the women of rural background has also established their voice in such a way that it is audible to every corner of the world.
The basic motive of this form of development is if mother is empowered enough to make child empowered then the nation will reach in its peak.
Moreover if they hold equal status with that of privileged ones, they will live their life with utmost dignity and freedom which then increases their self confidence.
They will get recognition and will prove a gem in the future society.

HOW WOMEN EMPOWERMENT IS INTERLINKED WITH LAW
Basic Function of law is to hold the deprived class of the society in such a way that their is no misconduct with them.
Moreover to provide safeguard in the manner of various provisions into it. As in this growing era ,women are too given equal rights like that of man .
Law has treated and given them equal status like that of man . Question arises here is that what was the need to empower the women in such a way?.
Answer to it is simple, Basically to overcome social barrier the women were need to be empowered .
Parliament of India has passed several legislations to protect and safeguard women in every aspect of life .Certain provisions are mandated .
The provision are as stated under:
(a) Dowry prohibition Act -1961
(b) Immoral Traffic Prevention Act 1956
(c) Maternity Benefit Act 1961.
(d) Prohibition of child Marriage Act -2006
(e) Sexual Harrasment of Women at work place Act 2013
(f) Equal Remuneration Act- 1976
According to the provision of the Constitution of India ,it is legal point to grant equality to women in the society in all spheres just like males have .
The Summit called women up organized by Siyahi a NGO in October 2019. This submit was crucial and overlooked subjects in the advancements of gender equality.
The constitution not only grants equality to women, but also empowers the state to adopt measures of positive discrimination in favour of women.
Gender equality ensures protection from sexual harassment and right to work with dignity which is recognized universally .
The state has enacted Various preventive measures in lieu of it and categorised crime against women on a separate note .
Crime against women have been mentioned in IPC, Indian Penal Code states that crimes like rape, kidnapping and abduction for different purpose ,molestation ,sexual harassment etc are being categorised and the punishment is given in strict sense .
Moreover Fast track court have been setup in order to provide quick disposal of the case in the matter concern with women.
If women alleges any man for rape Police must take immediate actions.
Women have too been given certain privileges in arrest under CRPC.
Which states that women should be arrested before sunset and the compulsion of female police officer is made mandatory in order to avoid any further inconvenience.
Their are certain crimes which are not specified in IPC but there is strict action taken under special laws like Hindu marriage act 1954 , Dowry prohibition Act etc.
Constitutional provision like under Article 39(a) which states the state to direct its policy towards securing for men and women equally the right of adequate means of livelihood .
Recently after the Nirbhaya case which involves the rape and brutal murder of paramedical student in Delhi government has refurnished the Juvenile justice Bill 2015.
Under this act the age of the juvenile was changes from 18 years to 16 years depending upon the nature of the crime.
Government has too taken certain initiative like BETI BACHAO ,BETI PADHAO etc which made the education of women compulsory in rural areas too .
National commission for women is setup in 1992 to provide overall securing future to women in every manner.
CONCLUSION
Women empowerment helps to make the society and world a better place to live . It somehow increases the happiness for the family and organization.
Government imitative itself in not sufficient unless the proper awareness in their in the human minds . After the patriarchal mindset is demolish the women will be empower I pln every sense.
