
Dr.Anita A. Patil is a Associate Professor, M.S. Ramaiah College of Law (MSRCL), Bengaluru. She joined MSRCL in February 2020. She has completed her Bachelors & Masters in Law with specialization in Business and Trade Law from Karnataka University Dharwad. .
She was awarded with two Gold Medals for securing 1st Rank in Specialization of Business & Trade Laws, Masters of Law 2012, Karnataka UniversityDharwad, Karnataka. She has qualified UGC- NET- JRF Fellowship Award in the year December 2012. She had joined Chair on Consumer Law and Practice, NLSIU in July 2012
She has successfully completed herPh.D.research degree on the research topic “A Critical Study of Legal Framework to Control Misleading Advertisements in India: with special reference to Food, Drugs and Cosmetics” from NLSIU, Bangalore in 2018.
She is an Accredited Mediator by completing 40 hours training module in Negotiation and Mediation, at Indian Institute of Arbitration & Mediation, (IIAM) Mediation Training Program inJune, 2016 at Cochin.
She has actively contributed in the policy making on Consumer Protection Act, 2019 to Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Government of India, New Delhi along with Chair on Consumer Law and Practice, NLSIU.
She has been the Editor of International Journal on Consumer Law and Practice & March of Consumer Law & Practice, NLSIU(2012-2019). She is also the external member of Prevention of Sexual Harassment at Workplace (POSH) Committee of reputed organization in Bengaluru.
She has also presented research papers at National Conferences and published National & International articles. Her area of interest is Law of Torts, Consumer Welfare Laws, Competition Law, Contract Law & Company Law.

Possess research experience on the topics of A Critical Analysis of Death Penalty as a Form of Punishment in India – Arguments for Abolition and Retention, and Right to Education under Article 21A: Constitutional Obligation and Its Implementation.
Internship Experience has been quite wide. Interned with Delhi High Court Advocates, Legal Knights, and Delhi Commission for Women.
Expertise in fields of Mooting Competitions, with had been a part of reputed competitions, namely, Jamia Millia Islamia, Surana and Surana, and so on.Organisational experience had been a long-lasting journey with the concept of been a moot court convenor at Moot Court Society, JIMS School of Law. Had acted as a Judge for the National Moot Court Competitions, at JIMS School of Law.
