About the Organization:
‘Consumer Assistio’ as the name suggest assisting the consumers in every possible approach. The ideology behind this project is to provide legal assistance to consumers and build content of all the legislations and case laws which shall be accessed by everyone. To create awareness midst general public. This project aims to help people and also provide pro-bono services. With the help of this project, we will try to reach out general public who need legal assistance and create awareness and reduce the exploitation of consumers.
About the Webinar:
Consumers are essential to any business as they create the demand for the products they plan to sell. The Competition among organizations creating similar products therefore exists due to the variety of needs of consumers. Therefore, companies need to pay attention to the requirements of Consumers while trying to avoid malicious ways in which Consumers may be harmed. The following webinar aims to help law students to understand the relation between the two laws and how they co-exist in the current legal scenario
About the Speaker:
Prof. Amit Upadhyay
Prof. Amit Upadhyay is an Assistant Professor of Legal Practice in the Jindal Global Law School. He graduated with a B.A., LL.B. (Hons) degree from Amity Law School, New Delhi with specialization in International Humanitarian Law. He earned his master’s degree in International Business, Competition and Regulatory Law from FreieUniversität, Berlin, Germany as a DAAD Scholar. During his master’s studies, he dealt with legal issues pertaining to cartels, structural links, private enforcement and various other contemporary issues in international business and competition law.
