#RIP Humanity by Mahek Vijan

Humanity is something which cannot be formed or described in a term it’s a whole religion a whole another world for people and cannot be categorized into anything. For showing humanity you don’t need to be a rich person, even a poor person can show humanity by helping someone or sharing his or her food. When you show humanity you have a click or a pinch from your inner soul which you cannot get from something else. Every religion tells us about humanity, peace, and love that is why no religion is higher than humanity.

Humanity is something which unities the people and their morals with their ground values. Humanity as the word itself shows its meaning that it is related to all human beings. All human beings on earth are co related to each other on the basis of humanity. People acknowledge each other on virtue of humanity. Today’s world is facing one to one with the problems of novel corona virus. Its humanity only that the world is united under one roof and fighting together against it.

The people of the world are helping each other economically, technologically and physically. But there are all types of people in this world. Recently an incident came into notice which literally was so tragic it rose a question against humanity that the people are so inhuman and can fall down to such cruelty. One such case that came up was in Kerala, an elephant was brutally killed by the villagers by feeding her crackers stuffed inside a pineapple while she was few months pregnant.

Similar kind of incident happened in Bilaspur, H.P where a cow was grazing and some spiteful people planted an explosive which exploded on the face of the cow and killed her standing still there. I ask you all what was the fault of the poor animal? Why is there no humanity left in people now? Why is that people are behaving like illiterates in this country?

From childhood we are taught as human beings that humanity means extending unconditional love to each other and every human being. It means to help others when they need help the most and when such kind of incidents come across which raises questions in our mind that is there any humanity left in the world. Then we come across the noble act done by Maneka Gandhi who is doing a splendid work for helping the animals by which again there is a new hope that humanity is still alive.

We come across many NGO’s and people in our day to day lives who help and feed these stray animals. As we say that mothers in a house have a soul and heart for everyone similarly our mother nature has a soul and a whole another world for these creatures. An act of humanity can never be performed with thoughts or expectations of any personal gain of any form, may it be fame, money or power. Humanity comes from most selfless act and the compassion one has. Given a thought many names of people come across our mind like Mother Teresa, Mahatma Gandhi and Nelson Mandela. These are just few names we all are familiar with, there ways of life has taught us and are still being taught to the future generation so that they can understand what it means to be human.

At the end I want to quote few lines:

“May all be happy,
May all be free from stress,
May all see that which is good and auspicious,
May no one be sad or deprived,
May there be internal peace”
